Hindsight 2020: looking back on free labs, skill badges, & more
It’s the end of the year, and we’d like to thank you for being here through all the challenges 2020 has thrown at us. It’s been tough, but it’s encouraging to see people develop a learning habit, and employers continue to prioritize learning. So here’s a look back at labs in 2020, plus a few opportunities to continue your lifelong learning habit:
- We committed to making in-demand cloud skills training accessible for everyone with free Google Cloud labs on Qwiklabs — and you can still get free labs here through the end of the year.
- 24 new skill badges came out in 2020. A skill badge is a Google Cloud credential that demonstrates your growing Google Cloud-recognized skillset. Each skill badge has a final challenge that tests your knowledge to prove your mastery. Have you earned one yet? You can get free access to labs before the end of the year and use it to earn a skill badge.
- Were you able to join us over on YouTube for one of our live streams? We’ll keep doing this in 2021 — subscribe and don’t miss our next session, with real time tips, tricks, and advice from Googlers and partners.
